About the Globe
The Globe was founded February 2015 when a group of political science majors decided that Georgia Gwinnett College needed a newspaper. The first edition published in March 2015 and that same month the founding Editor-in-Chief, Laura Walsh sought help from English Professors Dr. Daniel Vollaro and David Sepulveda. With the help of these advisors, the newspaper content improved steadily.
On July 1, 2016, President Stas Preczewski declared The Globe an institutional organization. The Globe has since gained an office where its board members can meet with interested parties.
